   The Corporate Human Resources Management Department (CHHR) invites management development training companies to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible companies shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable Assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.). The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Rules and Procedure for the Use of Corporate Consultants. Please, note that interest expressed by a management development training company does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is a multilateral development finance institution comprised of all African countries and 26 non-African countries from Asia, Europe, North and South America. The purpose of the Bank is to further the economic development and social progress of African countries, individually and collectively. The Bank has its Headquarters in Abidjan in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. The Bank has a staff complement of about 1738 categorized into Senior Management (EL), Professional (PL) and General Support (GS) categories. These staff are spread throughout the Bank’s offices in Abidjan, Tunis, and 391 other countries in Africa and in Tokyo. Evidence of the Banks diversity is reflected through the workforce representation of 81 member countries, supporting the Bank’s multicultural composition. The Bank’s multicultural status is also displayed through the use of two official languages, English and French. To reach its objective of becoming the employer of choice for those working on African growth and development, the Bank needs to have empowered employees and great managers. Management development is critical for high performing organizations and teams. The African Development Bank hereby invites management development training companies to express interest to carry out the following assignment: to partner with the bank to create a consistent and sustainable standard in how to effectively manage others. This paper seeks to engage a company that can fulfill the needs of the Bank’s Management Development Programme. This programme will be the first management development programme in the Bank’s Management Development Framework and will focus on all tenets of managing others.
This is a flagship programme and it is expected that all managers of others in the bank will go through this programme so that we can set a standard of how managers manage others in the bank. The services included in this assignment are:
a. Customise your existing programmes to the context of the bank. While we do not envision changes to the actual programme, we do expect that cases examples and other contextual nuances will be those of the Bank;
b. Schedule the training so that it is delivered at the Bank’s Head Office in Abidjan as well as across all the Banks offices as listed above. The Bank will provide support in clustering managers around one location where necessary but the training company must provide the capacity to deliver the programmes across the locations
c. Deliver the programme in French and English to a level that the trainers must be Francophone and Anglophone.
d. Implement all the necessary evaluation processes including Kirkpatrick’s levels 1,2 and 3 where needed.
e. Provide pre-training assessments and communication materials about the programme
