Zamfara State Health System Development Project II (ZMHSDPII)

Procurement of Generators and Delivery Van
Credit No. 3653 UNI

IFB No. ZM/HSDPII/GD/003/ICB/2005

1.This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in the Development business issue No. 608 of June 16, 2003.

2.The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Health System Development Project II and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for this credit payment under the contract for the procurement of Generators and Delivery Van.

3.Zamfara State Health Development Project II now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Generators and Delivery Van.

- Lot 1: 15 units of 2KVA Generators
- Lot 2: 14 units of 12KVA Generators
- Lot 3: 3 units of 40KVA Generators
- Lot 4: 1 unit of Delivery Van

Bidders may bid for any one or more lots, and discounts offered for the award of combine lots will be considered in the bid evaluation.

4.The delivery period is 120 days. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding Procedures (ICB) as specified in the World Bank procurement Guidelines: procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from the eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5.Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Zamfara State Health System Development Project II and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 10:00am to 3:00pm Local Time.

6.A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at the and upon payment of nonrefundable fee of 15,000 Naira (Fifteen Thousand Naira only). The method of payment will be by cash or draft cheques payable to Zamfara State Health System Development Project II. The bidding document will be available from May 31, 2005. 7.Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00am July 11, 2005.

All bids must be accompanied by a bids security of:
- Lot 1: 3% of the bid amount
- Lot 2: 3% of the bid amount
- Lot 3: 3% of the bid amount
- Lot 4: 3% of the bid amount

Or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders representative who choose to attend at the address below by 10:00am Local Time July 11, 2005.
