World Bank credit Name: World Bank Assisted Health System Development Project – II.

1.This Invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in the Development business No. 608 of June 16, 2003.

2.The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Kogi State Health System Development Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for the supply of Operational Vehicles and Motorcycles Contract No KG/HSDP-II/ICB/Goods/01/04. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank Guidelines: Procurement under IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Bidding Document.

5.The Kogi State Health System Development Project II, Invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Operational Vehicles and Motorcycles as follows:

Lot 1: 1 unit 4WD station Wagon GRX – 4,479 CC, bid security: at least 3% Bid Price;

Lot 2: 2 units 30 Seater Bus, at least 3% Bid Price;

Lot 3: 4 units Hospital Ambulances,at least 3% Bid Price;

Lot 4: 25 units Motor Cycles, at least 3% Bid Price.

5.Bidding documents may be purchased at The Project Implementation Unit, Kogi State Health System Development Project, Ministry of Health, Lokoja, for a nonrefundable fee of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira only) or US$80.00. Bidders may bid for one lot or more lots. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.

6.Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by a Bid Security indicated in the above table or its equivalent in a convertible currency, and shall be delivered to the Project Manager, Kogi State Health System Development Project, Ministry of Health, Lokoja, on or before 12.00 noon, 20th July 2005 at which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representative who chose to attend. Bidders must quote for complete lot.

7.Domestic suppliers may receive a margin of preference of 15% in bid evaluation.

8. Evaluation will be on Lot-by-Lot basis. Award shall also be on lot basis.
