SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Municipal Water and Wastewater Project
Mobile Workshop Vehicles

This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business no. 611 of 31 July 2003.

The Ministry of Territorial Adjustment and Tourism of Albania (the Ministry) has received
a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the
Albania Municipal Water and Wastewater Project, and it intends to apply part of the
proceeds toward payments under the contract for the supply of Mobile Workshop Vehicles.
Berlinwasser International AG (the Private Operator), acting on behalf of the Water Companies of Durrës, Fier, Lezhë and Sarandë now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of four (4) mobile workshop vehicles equipped with tools, one each for the Water Companies of Durrës, Fier, Lezhë and Sarandë. The delivery/construction period is 90 days (latest delivery 120 days).

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 1995 (revised January and August 1996, September 1997 and January 1999) and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from Berlinwasser International AG acting on behalf of the Water Companies of Durrës, Fier, Lezhë and Sarandë at the address below during office hours, i.e. 0900 to 1700 hours. A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of EUR 100 or its equivalent in Albanian Lekë. The method of payment will be direct Transfer to Tirana Bank, Durrës Branch, Account of Durlin Water sh.p.k, account No. 0110-302060-102 for deposit in Albanian Lekë and account No. 0110-301060-101 for deposit in Euro. The document will be sent by courier service.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of EUR 5.500,00- or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency, and be delivered to the address below by 10:00 a.m. local time on March 7, 2005. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below at 10:00 a.m. local time on March 7, 2005. Late bids will be rejected.
