Jakusevec landfill rehabilitation
This invitation for tenders follows the general procurement notice for
this project which was published in Procurement Opportunities in
September 2001.
ZGOS, the Municipal Solid Waste Management Company of the City of Zagreb,
hereinafter referred to as the Purchaser, intends using part of the
proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the Jakusevec landfill
rehabilitation project.
The purchaser now invites sealed tenders from suppliers for the following
contracts to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:
Lot 1a: bulldozer - 1 unit.
Product specially made for working at the landfill.
Additional: one universal blade.
Lot 1b: bulldozer - 1 unit.
Universal product for working with soil.
Additional: one blade for work on the landfill.
Lot 2: landfill compactor - 2 units.
Lot 3: articulated truck - 2 units.
Lot 4: wheel loader - 2 units.
Lot 5: mobile gasoline pump - 2 units.
Lot 6: movable landfill fence as barrier for paper and plastic - 1 set.
Lot 7: attachments for the existing tractor - type VALTRA 8550 - 1 set.
Lot 8: special vehicle with attachments for hydro-mechanical washing and
cleaning of roads by means of a fire extinguisher cannon, and snow
removal equipment - 1 unit.
Lot 9: lighting set with electric power generator for night work - 2
units.
Tenderers are invited for one or more lots. Each lot must be priced
separately. Tenderers for more than one lot may offer discounts and such
discounts will be considered in the comparison of tenders.
Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from
the Bank is open to firms from any country.
Tender documents may be obtained from the office at the address below
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 150 EUR for each tender or
equivalent in Croatian kuna.

In addition, a copy of the payment order with the full name and postal
address of the potential tenderer should be forwarded by telefax to ZGOS,
for attention of Mr Zdravko Vac at the address below.
If requested the documents will be promptly dispatched by courier and, in
addition, electronically via e-mail but no liability can be accepted for
loss or late delivery. Tenderers should note that an electronic version
of the tender documents will be issued solely to facilitate tender
preparation. In the event of any discrepancy between hard and electronic
copies of the tender documents, the hard copy will prevail.
All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of a fixed sum per
offered lot, as follows:
Lot 1a: 2 000 EUR.
Lot 1b: 2 000 EUR.
Lot 2: 2 000 EUR.
Lot 3: 2 000 EUR.
Lot 4: 2 000 EUR.
Lot 5: 1 000 EUR.
Lot 6: 1 000 EUR.

or its equivalent in Croatian kuna.
Tenders must be delivered to the office at the address below on or before
12:00 hrs on Friday, 2 July 2004, at which time they will be opened in
the presence of those tenderers' representatives who choose to attend.
A register of potential tenderers who have purchased the tender documents
may be inspected at the address below.
