DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

The United Nations African Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) seeks to engage a service provider for an
"All Inclusive freight forwarding and related services" to efficiently and effectively transport United Nations
Owned Equipment (UNOE) from MINURACT, Chad (N'Djamena and Abeche) To UNAMID Sector Offices
in Sudan (El-Fasher, Nyala El- Geneina and Zalengie)
The selected vendor will provide the following services:
a. Loading and offloading of cargo.
b. Transport and Insurance.
c. Special Requirements: The freight forwarder shall provide a designated focal point to coordinate all
transport rquirements with MOVCON at all staging points.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION
UNAMID would like to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the competitive bidding

(1) The following specific requirements must be provided or demonstrated:
(i) Brief profile of the organization including the nature of business, number of years in business, key
relevant service and a list of previously completed and current contracts including volumes and value of
each contract
(ii) Information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments,
experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.)
(iii) 3 years experince in similar service provision
(iv) Audited financial statements for the last three consecutive financial years.
(v) 3 letters of recommendation
(vi) relevant registrations/certifications/licences
(vii) In addition, vendors are required to submit a duly completed Vendor Response Form attached below.

(2) The intent of this EOI notice is to encourage firms with proven technical,financial and managerial experience and capacity to provide the required service(s),

(3) This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. The UN reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to an EOI does not automatically guarantee that your firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only prospective vendors that respond, and are deemed qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of their vendor application, will receive the final solicitation document.

(4) The UN also reserves the right to send the Solicitation Documents to Vendors who were identified through additional market research or others means to source the UN requirements
