RSA Software and Tokens Agreement

Sole source is proposed to the Manufacturer, RSA Security Inc., the Security Division of EMC (RSA), for RSA SecureID and Certificate Manager software products, tokens/FOBs, maintenance, support and services (Agreement) on a brand-specific, no substitution basis, based on the proprietary licensing terms and conditions and compatibility with existing investment.

The Government of Alberta (GOA) intends to extend its existing Agreement directly with RSA for a one year period with an option to extend for up to an additional four years.

The Agreement will be available to GOA ministries (departments of Her Majesty); including boards, commissions and organizational units that form part of the public service of Alberta but are not part of a department of Her Majesty; corporations that are an agent of Her Majesty; and other Approved Organizations such as municipalities, academic institutions, school boards, and hospitals. Approved Organizations will be posted on Alberta Purchasing Connection and updated from time to time as new organizations are approved.

The GOA may extend its existing Agreement into an enterprise license agreement with RSA to provide centralized license administration and consolidate licenses, maintenance and support, and to ensure cross-government compatibility, cost avoidance and reduce associated support costs.

The estimated total purchases during the Agreement for the one year extension period are US$750,000 for all RSA products, maintenance, support and service offerings available currently or in the future including, but not limited to, additional integrated tools as well as products that require technical compatibility, and integration with existing product investments in RSA software, maintenance and support, etc.

During the Agreement, the Purchaser:
a) may purchase more Goods than the estimated value; or
b) may purchase less Goods than the estimated value; and
c) is not obligated to purchase any Goods.

Orders under this Agreement will be placed by the Purchaser in quantities of one or more items per order for delivery to the Purchaser at sites throughout Alberta.

All questions relative to this notice must be directed to Rosie Amlani, Procurement Manager at (780) 422-2654.

This procurement is subject to Chapter 5 (Procurement) and the MASH Annex of the Agreement on Internal Trade
