Sealed item rate Tenders, are invited on behalf of Shwezaye HPP, NHPC Ltd., Myanmar from reputed/experienced contractors for the below mentioned works at Shwezaye HPP, Myanmar Terms & conditions 1) Non-Transferable Tender documents for the above works will be issued in the office of undersigned as per dates mentioned above during office working hours i.e. 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM against payment of requisite tender document cost in the shape of Demand Draft from a Nationalized or Scheduled Bank of India/Myanmar in favour of NHPC Ltd. payable at Yangon/Faridabad or Cash (USD) deposited with Finance division of Shwezaye HPP, Myanmar. Bidders intending to download tender documents from website shall do so by using the online payment facility. The option of On-line payment is available only in INR. Bid documents shall also be available for sale on all working days for the period from 15.09.2010 to 21.09.2010 at Embassy of India, Merchant Street, Yangon during office hours. 2) Tenders will be received in the office of undersigned on dates mentioned above and shall be opened therein as above in the presence of bidders or their representative, who choose to be present. If the said day for opening of tenders turns to be a holiday the next working day shall be considered as opening day. 3) The Tender received by post after the last date of receipt and time shall not be considered. Corporation shall not be responsible for any postal delay) 4) The tender must be accompanied with Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) in the shape of Demand Draft from a Nationalized or Scheduled Bank of India/Myanmar in favour of NHPC Ltd. payable at Yangon/Faridabad without which the bids are liable to be rejected. 5) Conditional tenders will be considered as non-responsive. 6) The Tenderers having the following eligible criteria should only participate in the tenders. The tenders without documentary proof for the following eligibility criteria shall not be accepted. i) Contractors should have valid registration Certificate/Registration of the Company/Firm etc. supported with documentary proof for that particular registration certificate ii) Request for issue of Tender document must be accompanied with following documentary evidence, without which Tender shall not be issued: - Proof of Experience of having successfully completed similar works during last seven years ending last day of month previous to the one in which application are invited should be either of the following: - i) Three similar completed works costing each not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost. Or ii) Two similar completed works costing each not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost. Or iii) One similar completed work costing each not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost. The Similar works means any type of Exploratory Drilling Works/Investigation Works for Construction Projects 7) Tenders are to be submitted in two sealed envelopes (Envelope 1& 2) contained in a larger envelope, clearly super scribing the NIT NO & Description of work, & package No. on the envelope. Sealed Envelope No 1 shall contain EMD and Technical Bid & Sealed Envelope No.-2 shall contain Price bid. (Both Envelopes should be inside a larger sealed envelope) 8) The intending bidders in their own interest are advised to acquaint with site conditions before submission of the tenders. 9) Intending bidders fulfilling the eligibility criteria can also download the tender document from our website http://www.nhpcindia.com after making online payment. The option of On-line payment is available only in INR. Required proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria shall be submitted in the envelope No.1 in case downloaded from Web Site. 10) The Corporation/Project shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders and will not be bound to accept the lowest tender or give any reason for such decision.
