1) The Chairman, Department Procurement Committee (Major), Sri Lanka Railway, Railway Headquarters, Olcott Mawatha, Colombo 10, will receive bids up to 2.00 p.m. on 15.09.2010 for the purchase and removal of 3259 Nos. (Approx) Empty Barrels and 329 Nos Barrels with Waste Oil (Waste Oil 65,000 Ltrs (Approx.) as described in the Bill of Quantities available at Sri Lanka Railway. 2) Bids shall be made on the forms obtainable from the Office of the Superintendent of Railway Stores, Colombo 10 up to 3.00 p.m. on 13.09.2010 on production of receipt for payment of non-refundable document fee of Rs 3000.00, which shall be paid to the Office of the Chief Accountant, Railway. Bidding documents can be inspected free of charge. 3) Bids will be opened immediately after the closing at the Office of the Railway Headquarters, Olcott Mawatha, Colombo 10 and Bidders will be permitted to be present at the time of opening of Bids. 4) Any further information could be obtained from the Office of the Superintendent of Railway Stores, Railway Stores Department, Olcott, Mawatha, Colombo 10, Telephone Nos. 2436818 / 2432044:
