The 249th Engineer Battalion is a versatile power generation battalion assigned to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that provides commercial-level power to military units and federal relief organizations during full-spectrum operations. The U.S. Army Prime Power School trains soldiers to operate and maintain the Armys inventory of medium voltage electrical power generation assets. The purpose of this solicitation is to secure instructional services for Army and Navy personnel attending training at the US Army Prime Power School. These services will support approximately 90 students annually on the Fort Leonard Wood military installation. The services required by this contract consist of instructor services only in the areas of Mathematics, Applied Physical Concepts, Mechanical System Engineering, Electrical System Engineering and updating the Program of Instructions if applicable. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to negotiate a contract on a competitive basis for Outsourcing the Academic Phase of Training for the United States Army Prime Power School. This is to be performed in accordance with the Uniform Guidelines for Selection. The contract will be a single Indefinite Delivery Contract for a period of one (1) year with four (4) one year options. All requests for proposals will be in writing and reference W912HQ-10-R-0006. Anticipated release date of the RFP will be on or about 20 September 2010. A proposal will be due 30 days from the release date. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency.
