This Invitation for Bids follows the GeneralProcurement Notice for this Project that appeared in UNDB online on March 25, 2006. 2. Georgia has received a Multi Donors Grant (Grant) from the World Bank (IDA), the Department for International Development(DFID), United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Netherlands Ministry for Development Cooperation and SwedishInternational Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) towards the cost of the Public Sector Financial Management Reform SupportProject and intends to apply part of the Implementation proceedsof this Grant to payments under the agreement(s) resulting from this IFB: Supply ofFiber Optic Cable for the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, IFB # PSFMRSP/C2/ICB-003. 3. The Ministry of Finance of Georgia now invites sealed bids from eligible andqualified bidders for supply of 40 km armored fiber optic cable. 4. Bidding will be conducted through theInternational Competitive Bidding (ICB) proceduresspecified in the World Bank's Guidelines:Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (May 2004), and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as definedin the Guidelines. 5.
