The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, North Carolina, intends to issue a firm-fixed price, sole source purchase order to Granville County Emergency Medical Services, Oxford, NC 27565. This non-competitive action is being issued by the Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, NC for the 2011 fiscal year on October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. The Federal Correctional Complex has a need for transporting inmates to and from the Federal Correctional Complex and local hospitals. Interruption of services would cause the Government undo damage. This is not a request for the competitive quotes. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
