This is a presolicitation notice only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and a contract will not be awarded from this notice. The GV Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Ms. has a requirement for a firm-fixed price contract for the housing of veterans participating in the Substance Use and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Program (SUPT). The center must be located within 20 mile radius of the VA Medical Center in Jackson, Ms. The contractor must have experience and proven record of successfully working with Veterans recovering from co-morbid conditions such as substance use disorders and PTSD. They assist with the provision of housing, transportation, and supportive services in conjunction with treatment services offered by the SUPT program. The primary goal is to provide a safe and therapeutic housing environment while the Veterans are participating in the intensive treatment phases of the SUPT program. The offeror must demonstrate ongoing capacity and resources to work with this population within a community setting. The period of performance will be for one base year, plus four (4) one year option periods. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The RFP will only be available on the FedBizOpps website and you can view or download the solicitation and all amendments. The RFP will be available on or around September 3, 2010. Questions must be submitted electronically to the contracting officer and strongly encouraged to do so within ten (10) calendar days after issuance of the request for proposal (RFP). Verbal questions will not be addressed. All responses to questions which may affect offers will be incorporated into a written amendment to the solicitation. Offerors are encouraged and responsible for routinely checking this website for any solicitation amendments that may be issued throughout the proposal period. A single award contract will be made. Contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor registration (CCR) before contract award. The NAICS code for this requirement is 623220 and size standard is $7.0 million.
