                                    EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Thisrequest for expressions of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in UN DG Market Gatewayon December 8, 2008.

The Republic of Armenia has received a Grant from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) toward the cost ofthe Armenia Geothermal Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.

 

The main objective of this assignment is realization of 3D MT survey, gravimetrical investigations and soil gas (CO2) surveyof the selectedpotential geothermal field of Karkar to outline the subsurface structure and encompass the depth of potentialgeothermal reservoir, its thickness and extent, and the presence of major fault zones, which usually are the causing factor forincreased permeability and conductivity of the reservoir.


The Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest inproviding the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services(brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff,etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

The selection shall be on the basisof Quality andCost-Based Selection (QCBS). Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines (May 2004),revisedOctober 2006; Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers.
