This office will issue a Request for Quotations which will result in a firm-fixed price contract for fence construction on the Poplar Bluff Ranger District of the Mark Twain National Forest in Butler and Wayne Counties, Missouri.  The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of metal support posts, fencing and gates at 20 locations on a natural gas pipline to limit access and secure the pipeline corridor.

This solicitation is open to both large and small business participation in accordance with FAR 19.1007.   Award will be made based on the best value to the Government and may be made on the basis of the initial offers received.  IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARD, POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS MUST COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 52.204-7, CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION.

The Government estimate for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.  The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this project is 237990.  The small business size standard is $33.5 million in average annual receipts for the past 3 fiscal years.

Offers may be mailed or hand-delivered to Mark Twain National Forest, Attn:  Anita Young, 401 Fairgrounds Road, Rolla, MO   65401.   This solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about August 31, 2010.  No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed from this office.   Technical questions should be directed to Bill Paxton at 573-785-1475.
