1) The Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee, Ministry of Mass Media & Information No. 163, Kirulapone Mawatha, Polhengoda, Colombo 05, Sri Lanka will receive bids from manufacturers. Principals or their accredited Agents in Sri Lanka up to 2.00 p.m. on 16.09.2010 for the supply, installation, commissioning and staff training of One Heavy Duty Three Knife Book Trimmer for off-line operation. 2) Bids are to be made in duplicate on the forms obtainable from the Supplies Section (Imports), Department of Government Printing, No. 118, Dr Danister De Silva Mawatha, Colombo 08, on payment of a non refundable bid fee of Rs. 2000.00 Bids submitted on any other forms other than the forms issued by the Government Printer will be rejected. 3) Bid documents, specifications and conditions applicable to the bid will be issued by the Supplies Section (Imports), Department of Government Printing, No. 118, Dr Danister De Silva Mawatha, Colombo 08 up to\ 3.00 p.m. on 15.09.2010. 4) Bids enclosed in sealed envelopes should be forwarded under registered; cover marked "Bid for the Supply, Installation, commissioning and Staff training of One Heavy Duty Three Knife Book Trimmer for Off-Line .Operation" to reach the Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee, Ministry of Mass Media &Information, No. 163, Kirulapone Mawatha, Polhengoda, Colombo 05, Sri Lanka not Later than 2.00 p.m. on 16.09.2010. If the Supplier / Principal or their accredited agents in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka do not choose to send their bids under registered cover, they or their agents shall deposit sealed bids marked as aforesaid in the Ministry Bid Box at the Chief Accountant's Office, Ministry of Mass Media & Information, No. 163, Kirulapone Mawatha, Polhengoda, Colombo 05, Sri Lanka, not later than 2.00 p.m. on 16.09.2010. 5) Bids will be opened immediately after closure of the bid at the above address 2.00 p.m. on 16.09.2010 and the bidders or their duly authorized representatives may be present at the opening of the bids. 6) All bids should be accompanied by a Bid Bond to the value equivalent to Sri Lanka Rs 500,000.00 7) Those who are Agents or authorized distributors are required to submit the Letter of accreditation or the Power of Attorney issued by the principals authorizing them to participate in this bid on behalf of the manufacturer. 8) The Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee, Ministry of Mass Media & Information reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the bids or part thereof. 9) Further details, if any, may be obtained from the Government Printer, Department of Government Printing, No. 118, Dr Danister De Silva Mawatha, Colombo 08 during normal official working hours and refer the following Web sites. 1) Dept. of Govt.
