GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
The FederalDistrict signed a loan agreement with the World Bank amounting to USD$130,000,000.00 (one hundred and thirty million USDollars), to finance part of theFederalDistrict Multisector Public Management Project, whose total cost is U$ 400,000,000.00(four hundred million Dollars), and intends touse the funds to make payments relating to the acquisition of goods, works andconsultant services under the Project. The project'sobjectives are to increase access, quality and efficiency of the Education, Health and Public Transport services, and improvepublic sector management and accountability by establishing results-based management practices and improving fiduciary oversight. Theimplementation of the project comprises the following acquisitions and services: - Medical, dentistry, laboratorial and hospital's equipment andutensils;
- Furniture;
- Audio, video and photo equipment;
- Equipment and housewares (health sector);
- Computer equipment (computers, notebooks,printers, projectors) and room security for network servers;
- Educational Videos;
- Technical Professionals;
- Empowerment, training courses and expertise;
- Consultant Services to implement the Operational Control Center of Public Transport of theFederal District;
- ConsultantServices to development the Costs and Performance System to education, health, transport and security sectors;
- Consultant Services to automate the reading and analysisTachograph Disc diagrams. All goods andworks, and all consultants' services required for the Project will be procured in accordance with the Nationaland InternationalCompetitive Bidding Procedures, described in the Brazilian Law N.: 8666/93, and in the World Bank Procurement Guidelines andConsultants Guidelines, dated May 2004 (revised October 2006), andin accordance with the Loan Agreement No. 7675-BR. The biddingprocesses will be open to all eligible bidders as specified in the Guidelines. In time,specific procurement notices will be published, on UN Development Business dgMarket portals, national newspapers, official gazetteof the Federal District and the Daily Union, other electronic portals as the case may be.
