Note: Survey Work of river x-sections (with reference to NHPC established grid control points) including recording of minimum river bed level, water level, water depth @5m interval, date of observation complete with river c/s marked on Mangdechhu (River plan) & L-section of river from TRT outlet upto 1000m u/s of Power House Area i.e. 22500m to 18500m from D2A Dam axis, Mangdechhu HE Project, Trongsa, Bhutan

Mangdechhu HE Project, NHPC Limited, Trongsa, Bhutan invites Sealed item rate Tenders from reputed and experienced Indian / Bhutanese contractors/ agencies registered in States/ Central Govt. Agencies/ working in PWD./ NHPC/ Other PSUs for the following works:-1) The Tenderers who download the tender documents from the internet site www.nhpcindia.com would have to pay the cost of tender documents online and submit its receipt.
2) Tender documents consisting of qualification information and eligibility criterion of Tenderers, plans, specifications, drawings, the Bill of Quantities of work to be done and the set of terms & conditions of contract to be complied with by the Contractor can be seen in the office of the Manager (Civil), NHPC Limited, Trongsa, Bhutan during office hours from 17.08.2010 at 09.30 AM (BST) to 04.30 PM (BST) on any working day before tender submission date i.e. 07.09.2010 at 3.00 PM (BST).
3) Tender documents will be issued from office of the Manager (Civil), NHPC Limited, Trongsa, Bhutan during the hours specified above, on payment of cost of tender document (non-refundable) by demand draft in favour of NHPC Limited payable at State Bank of India, Siliguri Branch or Bank of Bhutan, Trongsa Branch.
4) The Bidders who wish to apply for Tender for the subject package/ work shall satisfactorily establish to meet the following qualification criteria.
To qualify for award of the Contract, each bidder should have in the last Five (05) years: a) Average Annual financial turnover during the last 3 years, ending 31st March of the previous financial year, should be at least 30% of the estimated cost. b) Satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor, at least one similar work (survey works) equal in value to 80% of the estimated cost of work or two works equal in value to 50% of estimated cost of work or three works equal in value to 40% of the estimated cost of works for which the bid is invited, or such higher amount as may be specified in the Tender Document. A) Each bidder must produce: (i) The current income tax challan, PAN No. and EPF Registration No.; Or
(ii) Valid Trade License or Construction Development Board Certificate, TPN No., Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Exemption Certificate. (iii) A declaration that the information furnished with the bid documents is correct in all respects; and (iv) Such other certificates as defined in the ITB. Failure to produce the certificates shall make the bid non-responsive.
B) To qualify for a package of contracts made up of this and other contracts for which bids are invited in the Notice Inviting Tender, the bidder must demonstrate having experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for the individual contracts. C) Sub-Contractors’ experience and resources shall not be taken into account in determining the bidders’ compliance with the qualifying criteria.
5) Tender documents are available for downloading at the site www.nhpcindia.com after online payment of requisite cost of tender document.
Tender documents requested by mail will be dispatched by registered/ speed post on payment of an extra amount of Rs.100/-. The authority inviting tenders will not be held responsible for the postal delay, if any, in the delivery of the documents or non-receipt of the same.
Receipt of applications for issue of tender document by post will be stopped from 1600 hrs, seven days before the date fixed for opening of tenders. Sale of tender forms on the counter will be stopped three days before the date fixed for opening of tenders.
6) a) Tender documents must be delivered to this office issuing Tender document, on or before deadline for submission of Bids. If the office happens to be closed on the date of receipt of the bids as specified, the bids will be received on the next working day at the same time and venue. b) Bids will be opened immediately after deadline for submission of Bid in the same office.
7) Unless exempted, tenders must be accompanied by the earnest money of the amount specified for the work in the table.
8) The tender for the work shall remain open for acceptance for a period of one hundred twenty days from the date of opening of tenders. If any bidder/ Tenderer withdraws his bid/ tender before the said period or makes any modifications in the terms and conditions of the bid, the said earnest money shall stand forfeited. 9) Employer reserves the right to cancel the tendering process at any time before award of work.
