Contract No. and Title:ICB3-W3 : Welding of P43 Rails on the southern Line
Deadline for Bid Submission:30 September 2010 at 14:00 hours (Cambodian Standard Time)

1.   The Kingdom of Cambodia has received a loan from the Asian DevelopmentBank (ADB) and a grant from the Australian Agency for InternationalDevelopment (AusAID) towards the cost of Rehabilitation of the Railwayin Cambodia and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loanto payments under the contract for welding of P43 Rails on SouthernLine of Cambodian Railways.

2.   The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) now invites sealedBids from eligible Bidders for welding of approximately 24,000 P43 RailSpots on Southern Line of its Railway System, Cambodia.

3.    International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure for procurement of Small Works and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4.   Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from theMinistry of Public Works and Transport and inspect the Bidding Documentat the address given below from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00PM on any working day.

5.   The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased byinterested Bidders on the submission of a written application to theaddress below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$100 [incase the document is requested to be sent by Courier, US$100 will beadded to the non-refundable fee]. The method of payment will be cash orcertified cheque. The document will be handed over in case the paymentis made by cash/certified cheque. However, if the document is requestedto be sent by Courier, no liability will be accepted for loss or latedelivery.

6.   Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 14:00 Hours (Cambodian Standard Time) on 30 September 2010.All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of US$ 49,000. Late bidswill be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders'representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 14:30Hours (Cambodian Standard Time) on 30 September 2010.

7.   The Ministry of Public Works and Transport will not be responsible forany costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with thepreparation or delivery of Bids.
