SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION PROJECT IBRD LOAN NO: 7460-AZ Contract No: DB/7460/LV/007/105 Construction of Water Supply Intake and Facilities for Gabala Town The Republic of Azerbaijan has receivedfinancing from the World Banktoward the cost of the National Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part ofthe proceeds toward payments under thecontract for the Construction of Water Supply Intake and Facilities for GabalaTown. The "Azersu" Joint Stock Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Contract No: DB/7460/LV/007/105 for theconstruction of water intake facilities (6 artesian wells, depth 40 m, wells water collector DN 110-225 mm, length1170 m, intakechamber, 2 water reservoirs V=1000 m3 each, chlorination facility, laboratory building and equipment, transformer station);transmission main DN 159-273 mm, length -15.9 km, water storage reservoirs (rehabilitation: 2 units V=750 m3 each, construction: 2units V=600 m3 each and 4 units V=500 m3 each), power grid connection. Bidders would have to demonstrate: (i)minimum average annual turnover of twenty million US Dollars (US$20,000,000) or equivalent, calculated as total certified paymentsreceived for contracts in progress or completed, within the last three (3) years; and (ii)the participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least one (1) contract within the last five (5) years, with a value of at least ten million US Dollars (US$10,000,000) or equivalent or two(2) contracts within the last five (5 ) years , each with a value of at least five million US Dollars (US$5,000,000) or equivalent,that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works as well as compliance with allother qualification requirements specified in section III of the BD "Evaluation and Qualification Criteria",Qualification. The delivery/construction period is 240days. Bidding will be conducted through theInternational Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans andIDA Credits, (May 2004, revised October 2006), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
