The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center (RDECOM CC), in support of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense, intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source, to AVOX Systems, Lancaster, NY, for contractor logistics support of the Joint Service Aircrew Mask Rotary Wing (JSAM-RW) to include repair parts inventory, management and shipping. AVOX is the only source capable of performing this task on a timely basis as they are the current manufacturer of the JSAM. Additionally, the use of AVOX would eliminate duplication of costs incurred for another contractor to obtain the knowledge and ability to perform this effort successfully. Anticipated award date is August 31, 2010. The duration of this effort is two (2) years after contract award. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
