7. Contract description:
The project is to develop interdisciplinary research capacities at the
Institute for European Studies. IES should become a centre of excellence
in European studies in the southern Caucasus, able to lead all teaching
and research activities of an academic institute, along the Bologna
process and EU standards. It should also support the efforts of the
Georgian Government in building human capacity in the context of the
Eastern Partnership (EaP) and provide an applied research agenda
contributing in a qualified way to the analysis of Georgia's EU
approximation.

600 000 EUR.
