DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a mandate to support the implementation of the Security Council Resolution 1701. As part of the Mission’s support program, UNIFIL requires the following goods and/or services:

- Solid waste collection on daily and/or weekly basis from collections points constructed by the Contractor at
UNIFIL Naqoura ;
- Transportation of waste to a point/site of segregation and sorting managed by the Company/Contractor;
- Segregation and sorting of various waste streams including Paper/cardboard, glass (green, brown and
clear), plastics and non-recyclable solid waste;
- Initial preparation and processing for recycling of materials (paper/card, glass, green waste, plastic)
- Non-recyclable solid waste disposal at a technically and sanitary acceptable landfill (in compliance with
Lebanese law and UNIFIL requirements);

The Contractor shall be required to install suitable collection containers and recycling segregation bins at
designated locations within UNIFIL Naqoura
