The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the provision of providing Advanced Occupational Education Accredited Certificate Programs in Hazardous Material Removal, Insulation Installation, Solar Panel Installation and Maintenance and Windmill Installation and Maintenance for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex, Florence, Colorado (FCC Florence). It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in an award of a single contract that shall consist of a 12 month base year, and the possibility of four (4) 12 month option years. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The Contractor will provide each of the four programs twice per year (much like two semesters per year). Each semester will be three to four months in length, and an estimated two semesters shall be completed during each performance period. Approximately 20 students will be enrolled in each Advanced Occupational Education Accredited Certificate Program. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The Contractor shall be accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation program such as the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges or an official State agency. All other qualifications and requirements will be detailed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be made available on or about July 29, 2010 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about August 25, 2010. The solicitation is unrestricted.
