NOTICE OF PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR
SAMAWAH BRIDGES AND ROADS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT CONTRACT No. (IQ-P4/2)

1. The Ministry of Construction & Housing - State Commission for Roads and Bridges of the Republic of Iraq, invites general contractors to participate in the Pre-Qualification exercise for the above captioned project. The project consists of the construction and completion three concrete bridges (Samawah North Bridge, Mahdi Bridge and Hilal Bridge) in Al-Muthana Government.

2. Pre-Qualification is open to firms and voluntarily formed joint ventures from eligible source countries, in accordance with the Guidelines for Procurement under Japanese ODA Loans. The funding source related to this bidding is an ODA Loan of JICA

3. A complete set of the Pre-Qualification Document may be purchased by interested applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable document fee of Iraqi Dinar: Three Hundred Thousand (ID 300,000) only. The method of payment shall be in cash or certified cheque issued to the State Commission for Roads and Bridges. The document shall be available in printed form and electronic support CD and may be collected upon request starting from 26th July 2010 from 0900 to 1300 hours Baghdad local time.

4. Submission of applications for Pre-Qualification must be received in sealed envelopes either delivered by hand or by registered mail (DHL) to the address below not later than 1200 hours Baghdad local time on 6th September 2010 and clearly marked " Application to Prequalify for Samawah Bridges and Roads Construction Project, Contract No.IQ-P4/2"

5. Applicants will be advised, in due course, of the results of their applications. Only firms and joint ventures prequalified under this procedure will be invited to bid.
