The Ministry of Works would like to announce the following tender :

• Tenders are invited from qualified Contractors registered with the Cost Engineering Directorate of the Ministry of Works for Road Works under the Category mentioned above for this tender.
• Interested Tenderers should comply with the Legislative Decree No. 36 and 37 of 2002 with respect to Regulating Government Tenders and Purchases, and also to comply with the Prime Minister’s Resolution No. 21 for 1987 giving priority to National Products and products of National Origin.
• The works comprise the construction of approximately 1,400 meters of two (2) lanes single carriageway from King Hamad Highway to Hawar Highway. Earthworks, ducts, surfacing, road signs & markings and traffic signal installation are major elements which are included.
• A non-returnable fee as mentioned above payable to the Ministry of Works is charged for each set of tender documents. This payment should be made to the cashier in the Financial Resources Directorate, Ministry of Works who will issue a receipt in duplicate.
• Tender documents for the above may be collected as from Sunday, 25th July 2010 during office hours from the Cost Engineering Directorate, 6th Floor, Ministry of Works New Building, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.
• The Tender must be deposited in the tender box provided on the Tender Board’s Offices at 7th Floor, Al-Moayyed Tower, Seef Area.
• Tenderers are to supply copies of the following:
1. Company Commercial Registration indicating the tender relevant field and receipt for current registration fee. CR to be stamped with company stamp.
2. Copy of valid Certificate of Compliance with employment percentage for Bahraini Manpower issued by the Ministry of Labour and stamped with company stamp.
3. The total tender sum as well as cost per unit (as the case maybe) should be written and submitted in form TB 02.
4. Any other items listed in the Instructions to Tenderers.
5. All submitted documents (original or copy) should be stamped with company stamp.
• Tender shall remain valid for 180 days from the closing date.
• Initial Bond should be enclosed for the amount specified above or at a rate of 1% of the tender value whichever of the amount is lesser, provided that no initial bond’s value shall be less than BD. 100/. Ensure that the initial bond is in cash or in a form of certified cheque or bank / insurance company guarantee, valid for the duration specified in the tender documents and should be enclosed with each tender.
• Tenders not complying with the above conditions and requirements as well as terms and conditions mentioned in the tender documents will be rejected.
