1.    The Republic of Uzbekistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of the Rural Basic Education Project. Part of the loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2.   The Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (the Employer) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the "Supply, Delivery and Installation of the European, national musical instruments and equipment for children's arts and music schools in 8 regions of Uzbekistan" grouped in following 6 indivisible Lots to be delivered within Uzbekistan. Details and specifications are provided in the Section VI "Schedule of Supply" of the Bidding Documents. Bidders may bid for one or several lots, as further defined in the bidding document.

3.   International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

5.   To purchase the bidding document in English, eligible bidders should:

The application must include a cashier's check over UZS 20,000 (Twenty Thousands Uzbek Soums) for local delivery or US$ 50 (Fifty USD) for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

3. The Bid proposals should be submitted together with a Bid Security for the amount shown in the table or for the equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. 7.   Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

8.   The Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
