Objectives and Scope
UNOPS role is to create technical specifications for Heavy trucks and large buses, as well as to carry out the actual tender process and to establish Long term Agreements (LTA) with awarded bidders.

Heavy trucks with different applications and large buses

Special Procurement Conditions and Additional Information
1. Ex-factory delivery: 3 – 24 weeks to FCA
2. Ex-stock delivery: 1 - 2 weeks to FCA

Bids are invited for one or more of above delivery conditions.

Vehicles must be factory new, latest models. For category 50-56 bids for reconditioned vehicles are also invited.

Description
• Trucks – flat bed trucks, with and without tipper function, 4x2, 4x4, 6x4
• Trucks – potable water tanker, 6x4
• Trucks – fuel tanker, 6x4
• Trucks – cesspool 4x2
• Trucks – cargo box 4x2
• Trucks – refrigerated cargo box 4x2
• Trucks – skip loader & container 4x2
• Trucks – dump bed, 6x4
• Trucks – dump bed, 6x6
• Trucks – garbage compactor, small, 4x2
• Trucks – garbage compactor, large, 6x4
• Buses – large

Warranty terms, minimum:
Factory new vehicles: 1 year/20.000 km whichever occur first
Reconditioned vehicles: 6 months/10.000 km whichever occur first

In order to be considered as a potential supplier, interested enterprises should submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) including the following information:

- brief presentation of your enterprise including number of staff, turnover, net results and years in business

- reference list for delivery to international public institutions/NGO’s, to demonstrating your qualifications for participating in this possible upcoming bidding process. Reference list must include contact name, e-mail address and telephone number.

- contact information (full name and address, country, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, website and contact person)

- Please submit the following: A) Which make(s)/brand(s) you wish to submit B) If you wish to supply ex-factory (we order and you build the vehicle) and/or ex-stock (we order from ready made vehicles in your stock) C) Which if the above mentioned categories 50 – 130 you wish to offer.

Note:Failing to provide above data may exclude you from bidding.

The EOI and accompanying documents must be received by UNOPS no later than Monday 9 August 2010 on the address below. Suppliers may submit the EOI online by clicking the “EOI” link for this opportunity on “Current business opportunities” on www.unops.org, register and enter the data into the EOI form and then click “submit”.
Alternatively, Expressions of Interest can be sent by e-mail or fax (max. 10 pages) to the contact person below. Please indicate Ref. No.: UNOPS-112-2010 on all submissions.

This call for EOI does not constitute a solicitation. UNOPS reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. UNOPS also reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final solicitation documents. Submitting a reply to a call for EOI does not automatically guarantee receipt of the solicitation documents when issued. Invitations to bid or requests for proposals and any subsequent purchase order or contract will be issued in accordance with the rules and procedures of UNOPS.
