ThisInvitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business of 7 April 2009. 2. The Republic of Azerbaijan has received a credit from the International Development Associationtoward the cost of Public Investment CapacityBuilding Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit topayments under the Contract No 4595AZ-ICB-026 for the Procurement of ICT and audio-visual equipment divided into the following two Lots: LOT 1 # Procurement of ICTequipment: (Desktop PC, Laptop, Server, Copier, Multifunctional printer, UPS, Switch, Modem Wireless ADSL and installation of all equipment). LOT 2 # Procurement ofaudio-visual equipment: (Simultaneous interpreter system, Audio system and installation of all equipment). The bidders are free to bid for one or more lots above. Each lot willbe evaluated and contract awarded separately to the firm(s) offering the lowest evaluated price for eachlot. 3. The Ministry of Education of the Republic ofAzerbaijan now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Procurement of ICT and audio-visual equipment. 4. Biddingwill be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders fromEligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. 5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Project Coordination Unit and inspect the Bidding Documents atthe address given below on working days from Monday through Friday from 10.00am to 17.00 pm. 6. Qualifications requirements include 2 yearsof experience in supplying a similar type of goods for which the Invitation forBids is issued. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall notbe applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents. 7.
