ENERGY GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Project ID No.:P119939 The SJSC "UZBEKENERGO" has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 140 million equivalent from the World Bank toward thecost of the "Construction of 500 kV line SogdianaSubstation -Talimarjan TPP with 500 kVoutdoor switchgear at TalimarjanTPP" and it intends to use part of the proceeds to payments for goods, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by SJSC "UZBEKENERGO" The project will include the following components: Purchasing of 500 kV outdoor switchgear equipment such as 500/220 kV coupling autotransformers, Shunt Reactors, CBs, CTs,VTs to construct the switchyard of Talimarjan TPP and extension ofSogdiana Substation and connection 500 kV line "Kakarkul-Guzar". Purchasing thematerialsand equipment for construction of 500 kV line "Talimarjan TPP- Sogdiana Substation with total length of about 218 km.. The consultant services will be hired for drafting and preparation of the report on conceptual design, assisting in a bidding period,assisting in evaluation of bids, assisting in contract negotiations and preparation of contract documents. The following goods will be procured forthe project needs under ICB procedures: autotransformers and reactors, power equipment, metal-roll and hardware, concrete products, materials and items for line500Kv, relay protection equipment, technological and low voltage equipment. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will beconductedthrough the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans andIDA Credits (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders asdefined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under theWorld Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, asthey become available, in UN Development Businessand dgMarket.
