DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit propsals to secure the provision of air ambulance services in Erbil, Northern IRAQ including the following services:

1) 24/7 emergency room
2) 24/7 Laboratory service : U&E, FBC, clothing, urine
3) 24/7 Conventional x-ray
4) CT scan
5) Ultrasound
6) 24/7 ground ambulance services in Erbil for pick up of patients
7) In-house or in call consultants for surgery, medicine, orthopedics, gynophthalmology, ENT,Eye,
Anesthesiology, Traumatology, Neursourgery
8) ICU with state-of-the-art monitoring devices and ventilators
9) Normal ward
10) 24/7 nursing care
11) 24/7 Surgical services
12) reimbursement of treatment costs against detailed invoice at the end of the treatment
13) Cost estimate and treatment plan at the beginning of treatment
14) Comprehensive medical report in English at the end of treatment
15) 24/7 availability of point of contract
16) Daily updates on patient status by phone available
17) Acceptance of vanbreda health insurance plan including direct reimbursement for civilians

For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue
Request for Proposal (RFP) with detailed specifications, Bill of Quantities, Drawings, UN General Conditions of contracts and other related documents to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement.

Please note the following:
• This EOI is not a request for submission of a proposal.
• UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial
and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would
not automatically warrant for RFP document.
• UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
