6. Nature of contract
Fee-based.

7. Contract description
Technical assistance in order to improve agro-industries and SMEs’:
• general management (training, planning, saving, accounting, accountability, enhancement of quality reporting and management information systems);
• productivity and sustainability of manufacturing operations (production and logistics, maintenance, quality assurance, utilities management, safety hygiene and environment and performance measurement and reporting);
• operational and financial management (organizational review, human resource management, cost accounting, integrated management planning, performance and reporting and, sales and marketing management); and
• capacity building of professional organizations in agro-industries.
The covered sub-sectors are milling (flour, sorghum, millet and sugar), dairy products, fruit products, oils and essential oils, fish and fish products, meat processing, and food manufacture (biscuits, cornflakes, wheat flakes, peanut butter and baby food supplements).
This programme shall be conducted in close collaboration with the European Delegations in each concerned country.

Euro 679,000.-
