Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for
Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision for
Improvement of fifteen Roads Intersections in Mukalla
PCDP-II Contract # CS 2
1. This request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in the on-line DgMarket No. wb2027-775/10 on May 09, 2010.
2. The Government of Yemen (GOY) has received a grant from International Development Association (IDA) to implement the Second Ports Cities Development Project (PCDP II), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the grant towards financing the supervision contract for Improvement of fifteen roads intersections in Mukalla.
3. PCDP II invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above service. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the service through provision of brochures, description of similar assignments, experience under similar conditions, and availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly in their EOI the lead firm in the event of a joint venture.
4. Brief description of works:
(i)Civil works at each junctions; (ii) Signaling works ;(iii) Lighting Works; (iv) Road signs/ Traffic signs;(v)Removal of existing utilities;(vi)Relocation of existing utility services.

5. A consultant will be selected accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004 (revised October 2006).
6. Interested consultants may obtain further information from the address below during working hours from 8:00 to 14:00 hours.
7. Expressions of Interest must be delivered to the address below, by 14:00 hours on August 22, 2010.
