Name of the Goods/ Works : Supply and Installation of Drip and Fertigation materials in the farmers fields
Brief Summary of Scope of Contract : Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is implementing a component of a scheme called Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture modernization and water bodies restoration and management project (TN-IAMWARM). Under this component a part of work is to popularize Drip irrigation and Fertigation in 17 river basins namely, Upper Vellar, South Vellar, Manimuthar, Kottakaraiyar, Arjunanadhi, Aliyar,Palar (PAP),Ponnaiyar, Ambuliyar, Anaivari Odai, Swethanadhi, Therkar, Upper Gundar, Upper Vaigai, Varattar –Nagalar, Poiney and Koundinyanadhi. In this work, drip irrigation systems will be installed in 842 ha of farmers land to raise the crops namely Banana, Sugarcane, Vegetables, Flowers and Turmeric.
