SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Republic of Armenia Yerevan Water and Wastewater Project –YWWP
Rehabilitation of Arzni-Yerevan water supply system

The Republic of Armenia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of Yerevan Water and Wastewater Project-YWWP, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for “Rehabilitation of Arzni-Yerevan water supply system”- No: YWWP/Arzni4SourceWks/27.

The “Yerevan Djur” CJSC on behalf of “Municipal Development Projects Unit” SI now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for works for reconstruction of water collection and intake works, construction of pumping station with supply and installation of pumping plants and electrical equipment, and supply and installation of water mains with fittings, valves and valve/connection chambers - No: YWWP/Arzni4SourceWks/27. The construction period is 213 days from the contract possession date.
Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (May, 2004), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the “Yerevan Djur” CJSC at the address below during office hours 09:00 to 17:00 local time, (+ 4 GMT). A complete set of bidding documents in English, Armenian may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US $100 or equivalent amount AMD.
The method of payment will be direct deposit to specified account number.

The Bidding Documents will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery.
All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of 9,100,000 AMD or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency, and be delivered to the address below by August 23, 2010; 15:00 local time, (+4 GMT). They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
