II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (MFA) has a strong focus on the
security and safety of its staff around the world. Accordingly, the MFA is
developing a new set of courses for all members of staff, irrespective of
nationality or duty station, families of posted embassy staff, development
advisors, members of the Danish Humanitarian Service (IHB), trainees, etc.
- over 3 000 persons at over 90 representations in the field and at
headquarters. Learning in this respect is targeted to the needs and
learning environment of the individual. E-learning and face-to-face
briefings and courses are combined in a "building block" approach. The
call for tender is divided into two courses and the MFA will sign one
agreement for each course or one agreement for both lots if the Service
Provider wins the tender for both.
Course no 1: Hostile environment awareness training (HEAT) consisting of
four annual residential courses of 2-3 days in English at a location
within 2 hours from Central Copenhagen. Additional courses may be required
with 45 days' notice and the number of participants may vary from 15 to
25.
Course no 2: First Aid consisting of eight annual courses of one day's
duration in Danish to be held annually at the MFA in Copenhagen.
Additional courses may be required with 30 days' notice and the number of
participants may vary from 15 to 25.
