The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a contract to American Association on Health & Disability, 110 N. Washington St, Ste-328- J, Rocksville, MD 20850-2250. The Government intends to contract for services for National Center on Birth Defeats and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD), Division of Human Development and Disability (DHDD).Title of the Project is The Disability and Health Education and Partnership Development. The project objective is to increase the capacity of State, Territories and Localities to improve the health of people with disabilities by: 1. Identifying critical policy makers, advocates, and service providers in the broad areas of public health and disability; 2. Disseminating information, on a regular basis, to these agencies and individuals; 3. Serving as a mechanism for two-way communication between the CDC Disability and Health Branch and these agencies and individuals regarding opportunities for improving the health of people with disabilities and of imminent or potential barriers to health improvement.
The contract type is anticipated to be fixed price. The period of performance is anticipated to be a base and one option period. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting, or exceeding the requirement as stated herein may submit a capabilities statement detailing their capability to include past performance information, which will be considered only if received by response deadline contained in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purposes of determining wheter to conduct a competitive procurement.
