Construction of 680 000 m3 rockfill dam, excavation of 4 km long headrace
tunnel and construction of a conventional surface structure powerhouse
that will house two 40 MW Kaplan type turbines. The headrace tunnel starts
with canal and intake structures and ends in a surge basin just upstream
of the powerhouse. A power intake and two penstocks feed the turbines from
the surge basin. The tail-water is released into an existing reservoir 400
m downstream of the powerhouse.
