Budget line 22.02.02 — transition and institution-building assistance to
potential candidate countries.
5. Contracting authority:
The European Union, represented by the European Commission, itself
represented in view of the present tender procedure by the Delegation of
the European Union to Albania, on behalf of and for the account of the
Government of Albania, Tirana, ALBANIA.
6. Contract description:
The subject of these contracts is the supply of furniture and equipment
for the pre-trial detention centre in Elbasan (Albania) as per item 7 of
this forecast notice.
The new pre-trial detention centre in Elbasan shall provide accommodation
for men, juveniles and women pre-trial detention inmates, doctors'
facilities, visitors' area, administration, workshops, offices, laundry,
kitchen, etc. The capacity has been designed for 120 detainees. The gross
floor area is around 7 000 m2.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots:
Lot 1: furniture and kitchen equipment;
Lot 2: IT, telephone, closed-circuit television (CCTV) and special
security equipment.
8. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice:
August 2010.
