Renovation of Building 49 on the Pueblo Chemical Depot (PCD)

The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Carson intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Renovation of Building 49 at PCD, Pueblo Colorado. The result of this IFB will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract with an anticipated award date of on or around 31 July 2010. The Government intends to award a single contract. The anticipated issuance date for this IFB is on or about 30 June 2010. The closing date and time for submission of bids will be contained in the IFB package. The period of performance is estimated to be a base period of 90 days. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The requirement is 100% set-aside for Certified HUBZone Business Concerns. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5M. The majority of this work is considered construction work and Davis Bacon requirements will apply. The successful contractors will be required to provide 100% performance and payment bonds at the contract level. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fbo.gov and the Army Acquisition Business Website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Interested bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and any amendments. All prospective bidders must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database or their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. Prospective bidders who would like their company name included on the Bidders Mailing List may do so on the FBO website under the Interested Vendors List tab. Questions will not be addressed nor answered by telephone. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for bid/proposal preparation costs.
