GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Republic of Yemen Social Fund forDevelopment Phase IV Project GENERAL PROCUREMENTNOTICE Grant No.5480-RY Project ID No.P0117949 The Social Fund forDevelopment has applied for financing in the amount of US$60,000,000 equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Yemen Social Fund for Development # IV Project, and it intends to apply part of theproceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components,(1) Community andLocal Development Program; (2) Small and Micro Enterprises Development Program; (3) Capacity BuildingProgram; and (4) Labor- Intensive Work Program; and include procurement of goods and works for infrastructure and Consultancy Services for the projectcomponents. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will beconducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines:Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits dated May 2004, revised October 1, 2006 and is open to all eligiblebiddersas defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selectionand Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers dated May 2004, revised October 1, 2006. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under theWorld Bank's internationalcompetitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, asthey become available, in UNDevelopment Business and dgMarket and in local Newspaper.
