GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Date: 7 April 2009

The role of the MRC is to co-ordinate and promote co-operation in all fields of sustainable development, utilization, management and conservation of the water and related resources of the Mekong Basin. MRC receives its funding from the MRC Member States and from a wide variety of development partners.
MRC intends to apply part of its funding for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured in 2010.
• Equipments for discharge and sediment monitoring
• ADCPs, DGPS equipments
• Computer and software
• Financial audit services in both offices of the Secretariat: Vientiane & Phnom Penh
• Various expert services in Navigation including amongst others :
o Environmental Risk Assessment of navigation-related hazards including risk for oil spills and the carriage of dangerous goods-scope for prevention and contingency plan
o Technical Standard Guidance for design, construction and operation of navigation ship locks on the proposed hydropower dams on the main steam Mekong
o Rectification and confirmation of the Chart Datum
• Various expert services in basin development planning including amongst others:
o Basin-wide development scenarios
o IWRM-based Basin Development Strategy
• Various capacity building services
• Various expert services for MRC’s Fisheries programme

The procurement will be conducted through MRC’s procedures and is open to all bidders. Specific procurement notices will be announced, as they become available on MRC’s website, on dgMarket and/or other media.
