The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit food waste recycling services from sources for the MCBH Anderson Mess Hall located at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classifications System code (NAICS) and the small business standard for this procurement is 562119 and $12.5 million respectively. The resultant contract from this solicitation will be for a 12-month base period plus one 12-month option period. The base period of performance is anticipated to be from 1 April 2010 through 31 March 2011. The Government intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Detailed specifications and requirement information will be included in Request for Quote (RFQ) Number M00318-10-T-0028. The RFQ is scheduled to be posted in the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about 19 March 2010. Quotations are due no later than 25 March 2010, 12:00PM Hawaii Standard Time, and to be received either via e-mail at vivian.fukumitsu@usmc.mil or fax at 808-257-2350. The anticipated award date will be on or about 30 March 2010. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to receive any contract award or payment. The CCR website is http://www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency where the unit price is an all inclusive cost which is to include travel, fringe benefits, federal, state and local taxes, plus all other costs pertinent to the performance of this contract. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering technical capability, past performance, and price.
