The VA San Diego Medical Center has a requirement for Project 664-08-102, construction project for replacement of Research Fume Hood. Solicitation documents, including technical specifications and drawings, will be available on-line at www.fbo.gov on or about March 31, 2010. Offerors will search for solicitation VA-262-10-RP-0230 to access solicitation documents and any Amendments. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to register to receive notification of actions including posting of the solicitation and any amendments. Offerors are advised to check the web site frequently as they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Only electronic proposals submitted via e-mail will be accepted. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit will be held on Thursday April 1, 2010 10:30 A.M. at VA San Diego, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive San Diego, CA 92161. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early by 9:00 A.M. in order to 1. Obtain a parking space, 2. Process in for visitors badge with the VA police in the main hospital building. The meeting will be in Engineering Conference Room BB108-11, located in the basement of SCI Building. Attendance is not mandatory, however all offerors are strongly encouraged to attend. Offerors must be currently 1. listed in the VetBiz Registry Vendor Information Page (http://www.vetbiz.gov/vip/vip.htm) 2. registered on Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov) 3. completed Online Representations and Certifications at (https://orca.bpn.gov/). This acquisition is solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Program, Public Law 109-461 as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction award is anticipated. Additionally, the acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process. NAICS Code: 236220, Small Business Size Standard: $33.5 Million. Project magnitude: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Contract Completion Time will be Three Hundred Sixty Five (365) Calendar Days. Ninety (90) day bid acceptance period will be required. Bid Bond will be required from Department of the Treasurys Listing of Approved Sureties (http://www.fms.treas.gov/c570/c570.html).
