NASA/GSFC has a requirement for one (1) Fischerscope XDAL X-Ray FluorescenceSpectrometer and accessories.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Fischer Technology, Inc. pursuant to FAR13.106, for the acquisition of supplies and services determined to be reasonablyavailable from only one source. The Fischer XDAL is the only system found that allowedfor room temperature use with the capacity to have both very small spot sizes conduciveto electrical parts measuring, as well as large shapes more suited to platingverification on panels and printed wiring boards.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 2:30 p.m. EST on datelisted above. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
