SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS
ABRASIVES

Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is seeking innovative, leading edge abrasive
products designed for metalworking applications such as weld grinding,
beveling, flame-cut edge clean-up, and deburring. The product(s) must
improve over current process in the following areas: operator ergonomics,
process efficiencies, reduced change-over time, reduced surface preparation
times, and reduced overall cost. Specifically looking for leading edge
abrasive disks ranging in diameter from 2 inches to 7 inches, capable of quickly cutting
through carbon fiber remnants and adhesives. The proposed product should
mate to a Right Angel Ingersoll Rand Grinder, be 36 grit or greater, able to
withstand the build-up of carbon fiber and adhesive while maintaining
product effectiveness and minimizing change-over. If your product has
already been tested by ANAD, please submit test results. If your company
has a product that meets the above requirements and has not already been
evaluated by ANAD, submit technical literature to
