This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-38 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20100301. NAICS is 423420 with a small business size standard of 100 employees.

Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer that meets the salient characteristics listed below.

45 CONS/LGCB, Patrick Air Force Base, FL, 32925 is seeking to purchase the following commercial items:

CYBERNETICS PRODUCT:
1. iSCSI Data Backup Part # CY-MISAN-V/T 12/L4
2. Integrated Compression Part # CY-TCP
3. Tape, LTO, Ultrium, 800GB Part # QG-LTO
4. Head Cleaning Tape Part # L200/L400/L80
5. Shipping FOB Destination, Orlando, FL 32826

Additional Info: The need is for a complete disk to disk tape backup solution to backup all key servers. The unit should be rack mountable and not more that 3 units high. The unit should contain a high capacity tape drive. The backup to disk solution needs to hold at least 12TB of data and use a RAID 5 drive array so that there is no loss of data in the event of a single drive failure. The unit should have a redundant power supplies so that the unit will continue to operate even if one power supply fails. The unit should be iSCSI compatible with Backup Exec 12.5. The tape drive in the unit should be an LTO tape driver in the unit with at least 800 GB native capacity.

Preferred Delivery: 30 days After Receipt of Order.
