Local Government Engineering Department Office of the Executive Engineer District : Sylhet. Rural Transport Improvement Project (RTIP)
The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a Credit from the international Development Association (hereinafter referred to as the IDA) towards the cost of the Rural Transport Improvement Project (RTIP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contracts) as mentioned in para-2. Bidding is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits.
The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, represented by the Executive Engineer, LGED. District: Sylhet invites sealed Bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of the following works:
The bidders may inspect the Bidding Documents, obtain further information and clarification at the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, District: Sylhet, Tel; 0821-716116 or the office of the Project Director, RDP-26. LGED Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon Sher-E- Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207. Tel: 9122435, 8152579. The bidder must be eligible in post-qualification as specified in the bidding documents.
A Pre-Tender Conference will be held on 16/03/2010 Appropriate date may be 10 (ten) days before the deadline for submission of Bid at 1:00 pm in the office of the undersigned and all Bidders are requested to attend the conference on time.
A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by any eligible bidder from the office of the Project Director [Address: LGED Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207] or the Deputy Commissioner, District: Sylhet or the Superintendent of Police. District: Sylhet or the Upazila Engineer, Upazila: Sadar, Golapgonj, Beanibazar District: Sylhet or the undersigned on submission of a written application upon (he payment of a non-refundable fee as mentioned in para-2 for each set in the from of Pay Order/ Bank Draft from any scheduled Bank in Bangladesh drawn in favour of the Executive Engineer, LGED, District: Sylhet. Additional sets of Bidding Documents may be purchased at the same price. The Bidding Documents will be available during office hours from 09/03/2010 to 30/03/2010. All Bids must be delivered to the undersigned on or before 1.00 pm of 31/03/2010.
Bids will be opened at 1.15 pm on 31/03/2010 at the office of the undersigned in presence of the Bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend. The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids without assigning any reason.
