Statement of Work

Scope of Work: The services to be furnished under this procurement shall consist of a post-award conference, reports, meetings, daily worksheets, etc., and furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision, as necessary to accomplish the demolition, removal, and site restoration of fifteen vault toilets located at Harry S. Truman Project. The vault toilets are located at Bledsoe Ferry, Long Shoal, Osage Bluff, Shawnee Bend, Sparrowfoot, and Thibaut Point Campgrounds and Day Use Areas. The Contractor shall perform tasks listed in Section C-5. Acceptable performance standards and current regulations are provided for each task. The Contractor shall monitor performance and ensure compliance in accordance with the terms and conditions.
Contractor Furnished Equipment and Supplies

The Contractor shall furnish all equipment and supplies not identified in Section C.3 of this PWS as Government-Furnished supplies and equipment and as specifically identified in this section.

The Contractor shall furnish all transportation; power equipment with fuel; and all other supplies and equipment necessary to accomplish the services specified herein.

All contractor furnished materials, equipment and supplies must be approved by the Contracting Officers Representative prior to initial use.

Specific Tasks:

The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, transportation and materials necessary to demolish fifteen vault toilets as listed. The square footage of concrete floors and sidewalks are estimates, not exact dimensions. The dimensions listed below for concrete do not include the vaults which also must be removed and buried as part of the demolition debris contract.

C.4.2 The vault toilets at the designated locations listed above shall be demolished.
" The lumber and shingles from each vault toilet shall be hauled to a permitted landfill for disposal at the contractors expense.
" The contractor shall provide the COR a copy of all landfill weight tickets.
" All concrete vaults including approach sidewalks identified at the vault toilet site location and will buried. The removed sidewalk and vault toilet concrete debris shall be removed from the ground crushed or broken and hauled to the government designated burial site. The concrete shall only be crushed or broken small enough to be removed and hauled to the burial site.
" Each campground/day use area will have its own burial site within the park boundaries for concrete burial, except Bledsoe Ferry, which shall be hauled to the Shawnee Bend burial site location.
" All vault toilets will have the sewage pumped and removed under a separate contract.

C.4.3 The contractor will dig the hole for the disposal of concrete vaults and sidewalks at the pre-established location within the park and cover the disturbed dig site area with the soil removed. The contractor will backfill and level the burial site, such that the excavated area can be mowed. Any vegetation or small trees that need to be removed in order to open the burial site shall be done by the contractor.

C.4.4 The contractor shall remove both the demolished sidewalks and concrete vaults shall be hauled by the contractor to the designated burial sites. Trash receptacles may be required to be moved by the contractor if deemed necessary to prevent damage. The contractor shall be aware of water line and other utility lines and only disturb the ground necessary to remove the vault toilets and concrete. The government will locate and mark the utilities within the imitate location of the vaults.

C.4.5 The contractor shall backfill the open vault toilet site with the government furnished material, and levels the site to match the surrounding ground contour ( backfill does not require a finish grade, nor seeding and mulching.). The Corps will provide fill material at each site for the contractor to use in restoration and compaction of the excavated hole.

C.4.6 All demolition sites shall be opened and completed prior to the opening of another location. Multiple site openings must receive the governments approval prior to the commencement of work.
