TITLE: MAINTENANCE RENEWAL FOR THE YEAR 2010 TO 2011 DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy?s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order for the annual renewal maintenance for the Scientific Computational Chemistry software package already purchased by NETL on a sole-source basis to Accelrys Software Inc., San Diego, CA. Maintenance Renewal through March 2010 for the following software packages and number of licenses: 1. 2 MS ? CASTEP INTERFACE 71144 CCGL. 2. 2 MS ? DMOL3 INTERFACE 71144 CCGL. 3. 2 MS ? AMORPHOUS CELL 71144 CCGL. 4. 5 MS COMPASS 71144 CCGL. 5. 1 MS EQUILIBRAI 71144 CCGL. 6. 5 MS DISCOVER 71144 CCGL. 7. 1 MS REFLEX PLUS 71144 CCGL. 8. 16 MS CASTEP 71144 CCGL. 9. 8 MS VISUALIZER 71144 CCGL. 10. 32 MS DMOL3-SOLID STATE 71144 CCGL. 11. 32 MS DMOL3-SOLID STATE 71144 CCGL. 12. 8 MS CASTEP 71144 CCGL. 13. 1 MS VISUALIZER 79601 GAUSS. 14. 1 MS VISUALIZER 76678 PN0000029428 15. 2 MS SORPTION 71144 16. 2 PR11977 MS GULP INTERFACE 17. 2 PR12863 MS GULP PARALLEL 18. 1 PR2055 MS VAMP 19. PR2056 MS VAMP INTERFACE This purchase order is to be issued to Accelrys Software Inc. because the vendor?s product is unique and there is not another similar device. There is no other known source that sells these packages. This request is considered to be sole source to the Accelrys Software Inc. This award shall be awarded using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by this agency. Offerors shall provide sufficient technical literature, documents, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. All interested firms must respond by 05:30 p.m. EST, MARCH 26, 2010.
